Available 4/1/22 Preorder This lovely woodland plant makes the most delicious filler! Usually 2' tall but if really happy 3' creating a relaxed clump about as wide. Pretty, trifoliate, woodsy foliage is topped by floating masses of white starry flowers o
I love the frilly, wispy white flowers on this almost shrub like, 24-36" tall, native plant. It can be found growing in the wild on semi-shady road banks. In the garden its happy in part shade to full sun and flowers in late Spring to mid Summer.
This graceful perennial is strangely absent from most gardens. The leaves are arranged in threes along wiry stems, topped by loose panicles of white flowers emerging from tubular wine-coloured sepals. Think of it as a butterfly gaura for the shade garden. Gillenia trifoliata is native to eastern North America and was traditionally used for medicinal purposes. Part sun to light shade in average to moist well-drained soil. Good fall colour.
Light and airy masses of white blooms with showy red calyces effervesce on a clumping perennial in early summer. Autumn finds it ablaze in oranges and yellows. A North American native; best with summer water and bright shade;. 3'T x 2'W. Minimum temperature: -30 °F
This unassuming plant features 1" white flowers freely produced on 3' bushy plants. One author has proposed Bowman's Root as a much better alternative to Gaura lindheimeri.
Great Southeastern wildflower with bronze peach new growth and trifoliate leaves richly textured with deeply impressed veins. The white flowers borne at the ends of the stems are narrow petaled and remind me of small birds in flight. Easy to please and choice.
