Not only beautiful with larger trumpet-flowers of bright-yellow in spring and dark green foliage, this restrained, 8-12', almost-native vine is also amazingly zone 6 hardy!; an award winner from Don Jacobs and Eco Gardens. S/M
This is a reliably hardy selection of a not so hardy species from the subtropical US southeast. This vine offers a profuse display of clear yellow trumpet flowers in early summer with semi-evergreen foliage. 'Margarita' is a superior seedling with much larger, more prominent flowers than the species and has won a Gold Medal Award from the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society. Also popular with butterflies and hummingbirds.
At last, a Carolina Jessamine for the North! Awardwinning 'Margarita' has abundant clusters of deep yellow lightly scented flowers that bloom spring to summer. A twining vine with glossy semievergreen foliage that is lovely on a fence, trellis or lamp post.
A beautiful and restrained vine with dark green foliage and golden yellow flowers in spring. May repeat some in fall, too. Also evergreen! Margarita is a strikingly hardy selection for gardeners who could never grow Jessamine before! Easy to grow and very giving. Plant parts are poisonous. A PHS Gold Medal Award winner.
INTENSELY FRAGRANT form of the species. May repeat bloom in Fall. Semi-evergreen in colder zones. A PHS Gold Medal Award winner. 'Margarita' is a superior seedling selected by Don Jacobs of Eco Gardens in Decatur, Georgia. With its more prominent, much larger flowers, it is superior in every way to the species so Jacobs named it for his wife. He had no idea that it would survive winters to minus 25 °F. as it has in Pennsylvania. Styer Award Winner from the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society.

This has survived minus 25 °F which is incredible for the species. Evergreen to semi-evergreen restrained vine to 12' with clustered gorgeous yellow scented flowers which are larger than typical. We've needed this! Tolerates short dry periods & deer resistant.
