Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Giant fennel, this is a MASSIVE plant with very finely cut ferny foliage and big yellow umbels of flowers that can reach as much as 12 feet tall. Spectacular and dramatic. Only with it was a bit hardier...I've tried it outside a couple times, but never had any luck over wintering it, but if you are in zone 7 or warmer you've got to grow if for no other reason than to make me sick with jealousy. Full sun and good drainage are best.
Stately towering perennial with stems 8' tall or more. Brilliant golden thread like leaves in fall.
