Nursery contributed plant descriptions

A refined, compact version of the pearlbush, growing only 3-4' tall, and producing a heavy crop of the white spring flowers for which it is named. S-PSh/M
Clonal material, you see a lot of seed grown stuff offered under the name as cuttings are somewhat difficult to root and seed germinates easily. This is the true Lemoine plant named from the 1902 cross of E. korolkowii x E. racemosa, plants are compact, 4-6' (both parents can reach 20') with extremely large pure white flowers in dense racemes. The true plant is still rarely encountered in gardens, despite being easy to grow and extremely showy.
This shrub has handsome leaves and weeping branches covered with white blooms in the spring. Small and slow growing to 4-5? in ten years. Awards: First Class Certificate, Award of Merit, and Award of Garden Merit from the Royal Horticultural Society. Recommended by: Garden Clubs of America.

Here comes 'The Bride'! And she's a beauty. A trouble free and tough E. korolkowii and E. racemosahybrid is a "vision of beauty' according to Spring Meadow. A compact shrub w/ delicate gray-green foliage, which turns yellow and orange in fall, with pearl-like flower buds atop her arching frame in April, she springs into full bloom with 1-2" flowers in May. Heat & drought tolerant. Can be severely pruned for renewal. Awards: AGM Hybrid of species from Turkestan and China.

Pearlbush. Pearl-like flower buds adorn arching branches in April, finally bursting open in May. A tough and trouble free cross between E. korolowii and E. racemosa. 3-4' x 4'
Pearl Bush is an arching shrub up to 4' tall. Our plant is only 18 inches tall and 36 inches across. The gray-blue foliage is fairly narrow and makes a nice foil for the strands of pearls. The buds are held in 2-3 inch strands and open to crenulated white flowers. Would be a nice plant to cascade over a retaining wall.
Deciduous shrub 6' tall x 10' wide with long arching branches that bear bright white flowers that open from masses of tight, pearl sized buds.
