As the name implies, the foliage is glossy and comes out purple in spring. The leaves make a very attractive backdrop for the white flowers in spring.
Epimedium stellulatum ~ Leaflets emerge bluish-grey aging to a rich green with long, narrow prominently spiny leaves topped by a flurry of small star like white flowers with yellow centers held high above the leaves. Plant in partial sun to full shade. 12” to 18” tall. Zones 4 to 9. Evergreen.
Starry white flowers with a bright yellow center. Handsome spiny evergreen leaves. One of my favorites of the white flowered selections we offer.
