Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Low (12”) growing deciduous shrub. The white flowers literally cover the plant in spring. In fall, the foliage will turn yellow and purple on a 12”x 24” plant.
This highly attractive, dwarf shrub has gracefully arching branches that reach 2' high and spread elegantly to 5' wide. In spring, each branch is completely covered with masses of fragrant, double, bright-white blossoms. Lush-green summer foliage turns a striking, deep, dark-burgundy color in fall. This shrub works very well in a container, but it is especially effective planted en masse or cascading down an embankment. S/M
Deciduous, graceful, low-mounded shrub with abundant white flowers in mid-spring. Foliage turns reddish in the fall. Growth Rate slow
Unfurling from a galaxy of small round buds, dainty five-petaled crisp white blooms illuminate this tailored low growing Japanese cultivar. 'Nikko's diminutive dark forest green leaves fashion a compact ground cover-like shrub that entertains wine red shades in autumn and makes a stellar candidate for the rockery, nestling along steps or any other cozy nook.
White flowers cover arching branches in the spring. Red leaves in the fall. Durable dwarf shrub, only 18" tall and spreading up to 36" in ten years. Recommended by: Garden Clubs of America, Ohio Plant Selection

A 2003 US National Arboretum introduction. A very dwarf dense shrub which covers itself in late spring in veil of 1/2" pure white, star-shaped blooms. Excellent in woodland garden, as a 2-3' groundcover, or for small spaces. Reliably gets dark purple fall color for us.
Graceful, compact, spreading, extremely dwarf form of the species covered with showy white flowers in spring. Bright green leaves turn an excellent burgundy in the Fall. Profuse white spring flowers in erect clusters (which are often used for forcing). Best use is in a shrub border. Needs Sun or very light shade. Japanese Native.
