Bright yellow (with only a tint of green), the leaves of this densely columnar dwarf selection (to 6' x 1' in 10 years) make a cheerful statement whether it?s used as a patio container topiary, hedge or accent. S-PSh/M/GDr
Glowing bright yellow, lemon scented dwarf conifer...in youth, a narrow pillar shape, rising about one foot per year (in 10 years, 8-10’ tall and 2’ wide). Gorgeous in pots! Great specimen in the garden! Sun for best color, decent soil and occasional to regular water. Deer resistant. USDA Z7
The Lemon Scented Cypress provides not only its unique golden color but smells strongly of freshly peeled lemon zest when the leaves are touched. No other conifer smells as good! The golden yellow color is much more attractive than other yellow conifers and plants keep their golden color all year.
This variety grows smaller and more compact than the species, usually to about six or eight feet tall and two feet wide. The branches grow almost perfectly aligned with straight edges even without annual pruning and the wood is strong enough to keep the plant tidy even after heavy storms.

Native stands of Monterey Cypress are found growing along the California coast and are a very wind tolerant tree that withstand constant ocean salt sprays.

Wilma has a wonderful color to add a blast of color to your miniature garden. Otherwise know as a lemon cypress because the branches smell like lemon when rubbed gently. It's a great conifer for indoors, or outdoors in the summer, indoors for the winter. It's perfect for temperate and warmer climates to keep outside all year long. Keep the soil wrung-sponge damp but will tolerate the occasional dryness - but don't leave the soil dry for long. Great color to decorate for the winter holidays. Indoor: likes bright indirect light and keep the soil evenly damp. Outdoor: They are hardened off to Zone 7 (0 °F) and good through Zone 11 (above 40 °F). In colder climates treat as an annual, or bring indoors for the winter. Cold hardy zones 7 through 11, or hardy to 0 °F. Heat zone 12 - 7 . Part sun / cool sun to part shade outdoors. Bright indirect light indoors. Regular water, do not let the soil dry out completely. Growth rate dependent on placement, 3" to 10" per year depending where it lives. Prune in late winter so the new growth will hide the cut marks.
