Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Large, flattened, and curved needles of a conspicuous bluish color lend an exotic look to this med.-sized tree. S/M
Propagated from a plant grown in our zone 6A garden (survived -15 °F one year!) for almost 20 years, this hardy form of Chinese Fir deserves a pot in any conifer collectors garden! Icy blue new foliage, lovely round green cones that ripen to russet brown, and a pyramidal shape with a graceful weep to the branches. Site in a spot protected from strong winter winds here in the colder ranges. Can grow to 30-40' or more, but it a also be stooled regularly to keep a lower horizontal growing plant. Shipping 18-24" plants in 1 gallon pots.
The blue Chinese fir. This 30’ tree has fairly broad needles that are pretty blue. The plant has a graceful arching form. We haven’t seen any plants available for several years, so pick one up while you have a chance.
A very striking conifer with beautiful blue-gray needles. The needles are sharply pointed on a tree with an interesting texture. It is often slow to form a leader, though it eventually will become an upright cone shaped tree. Grows 1-3' a year to 70' or more.
