For containers or where a shorter ?hedge? is desired, this dwarf produces a narrow-leaved, arching clump to only 3-4' and tops it with dense creamy white plumes in late summer. S/M/GDr
This dwarf form of the spectacular giant pampas grass is more suitable in size for most home gardens. Reaching a clump height of 3-4' tall, the narrow blue-green foliage spills out to form a 6' wide clump. In late summer, the clumps are topped with dozens of fuzzy tan spears that eventually extend to 2' above the foliage. Growth Rate fast
Do you love the drama of pampas grass but fear its immense size? Perhaps you'd like to try 'Pumila', a dwarf version though I use the word ?dwarf" in relative terms. The narrow blue-green foliage reaches about 3-5 feet in height and is topped with dramatic, 5-6 foot tall, white, feathery plumes. Moist to dry well-drained soil in sun or part shade. From Brazil, Argentina and Chile. Photo courtesy of Walters Gardens.
A dwarf, well actually it is pretty damn huge version of Pampas grass that is significantly hardier than the species, it is the only form that survives here long term. ZONE 6
This is a refined dwarf Pampas Grass that will have many flowers on one plant. It only grows to a flower height of about 6'. Somewhat larger than 'Icalma'. Very nice for small gardens.
