Ceanothus 'Skylark' is a broadleaf evergreen shrub with green foliage. In spring and summer blue flowers emerge. Features glossy texture. Attracts bees, birds and butterflies making it an excellent addition to pollinator gardens. Grows well with sun - mostly sun and occasional - low water. Drought tolerant once established. Prefers to be dry in summer. Adapts to various soil conditions. Does well in average, clay, gritty and well-drained soil. Rugged and dependable in both heat and cold, but not tolerant of heat and drought conditions when used in warmer inland regions of Southern California. Hardy to 10F. California.
