Though somewhat tender, in the proper site this shrub will produce 2-8" clusters of tubular flowers of deep violet to lilac, covered on the outside with fine short hairs, in late summer. Butterflies love them! S/M
From late summer into fall this 7' tall and wide suckering shrub with glossy green leaves produces long, and long-lasting lavender-purple, downward pointing flower spikes - a fountain! Just clip off those suckers as a matter of course so that you can enjoy the wonderful flowers. Or plant it where suckers will be okay and you'll delight in its growing presence. Minimum temperature: 0°F
Deep violet flowers hang like grapes from this upright to arching shrub. The blooms are borne continuously from late spring to fall. An unusual variety. Buddlejas are considered invasive in some areas, please consult your local state offices before purchasing.
A huge, VIRTUALLY UNKNOWN, SPECTACULAR Buddleia with shiny green leaves, cinnamon trunks. This incredible plant has up to 24" long panicles of medium lavender flowers in summer. Slightly stoloniferous. Do not cut back like other buddleias. Medium growth rate. Do not cut to the ground (renewal pruning) as you do with other Buddleias.

Heat tolerant, long blooming, a great habitat plant & shockingly little known compared to the ubiquitous Buddleja davidii. Starting in late Spring, & continuing late into the Summer, long, pendulous racemes of slightly fragrant flowers appear. Flowers are lavender in bud, royal purple when open, & attractive to butterflies, bees & hummingbirds. Racemes elongate as blooming continues, & can reach an astounding TWO FEET in length. Wow! Native to China, this thicket-forming evergreen shrub grows to 6' tall, & makes a wild & beautiful informal hedge over time. Spreads by runners, so best planted where you won't mind it popping up here & there. Can be pruned fairly hard when rejuvenation is needed, but pruning is not required. Grows in most soils, & tolerates brief spells of drought.
