This strawberry tree is more a compact shrub to maybe 8'x 6'. The evergreen leaves make a nice backdrop for the pink flowers and red fruit in fall and winter.
Clusters of dark rose-pink fall flowers combined with last year?s vibrant red-orange fruit and deep green foliage on red stems make this compact (to only 6' x 6') plant a fall festival all by itself! S/M/GDr
Versatile: for common roadside plantings or sophisticated gardens, Strawberry Bush is a great choice, especially with those urn-shaped PINK summertime flowers, and simultaneous, showy, round orange-red fruit ornamenting the plant on into fall - edible if you so desire. This cultivar is a bit hard to find in the trade. Deer-resistant; 6' x 6' Minimum temperature: 0°F
A smaller and compact version of strawberry tree, this blossoms in autumn with bright pink flowers. When not nipped by frost here, it sets a good crop of showy fruit.
Grows to 5' tall with dark rosy-pink flowers.
A rather compact growing strawberry tree with small pearly pink flowers in mid to late winter, followed by bright orange and red fruits. Found this not significantly different than the species but believe all the wild rumours of larger more colorful fruit and later hours. Full sun to dappled shade with good drainage. Cold hardy in USDA zone 8.
