Chartreuse flowers, spring to summer.
Effervescent sprays of starry chartreuse flowers carried on sturdy, mostly upright stems are a florist's dream and a gardener's good fortune. Rounded pastel green leaves are a little larger than the species, featuring palmate veins, soft-as-velvet silver hairs and partially folded lobes, adopting an exquisite pleated appearance. All this charming detail deserves a closer look, so situate 'Robusta' along a well-trodden path or favored bench where you'll be rewarded with a repeat autumn bloom.
A fine, new selection of “Lady’s Mantle,” ‘Robusta’ grows much more upright, with larger leaves than the average species. To 2’ tall & wide, it’s a clumper with rounded, velvety, soft foliage famous for holding rain drops on its leaves looking like jewels for several hours. In early Summer to early Fall, it bears loose sprays of tiny yellow flowers. The ‘Robusta’ variety often blooms twice. Excellent as a ground cover, it grows well in HEAVY CLAY SOIL & is quite DROUGHT TOLERANT once established. Provides lots of long lasting cut flowers that also dry well.

Abundant frothy sprays of chartreuse flowers in May are a perfect base for arrangements or the perfect matrix for a shade or part shade garden. Ornamental round leaves are covered with fine silver hairs making diamonds of rainwater. Some self-sowing but then you can have green and yellow ground pillows for a ground cover; 16" tall and wide.
