Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Up to 100 deep violet tubular flowers form incredibly showy ?balls? atop 2-3' stalks in mid-to-late summer on this fine perennial; its foliage goes winter dormant and comes back stronger. S/M-D
This hybrid Agapanthus produces large clusters of the deep purple 1" blooms. Introduced by the L.A. State and County Arboretum. Unlike the majority of Agapanthus, this species is deciduous and will die-back in the winter and comes back stronger in the spring. The Lily of the Nile is a long-lived reliable clump forming perennial that makes a wonderful addition to the garden or landscape. Agapanthus will perform best in well-drained soils with average moisture and fertility. Deer resistant and moderately salt tolerant.
My compliments to whomever made this selection with flowers of a unique, romantic indigo (the color of blue jeans, unfaded!). 2 feet tall, it's a more sweet and petite form than many Agapanthus.
