Plant Care Instructions
Plants need to be freed from packaging as quickly as possible since a delay of a day or two can easily kill the plant. Unpack your plants promptly, and offer some TLC, including water. Let them get used to the elements in a sheltered location. Some plants may ship with additional instructions so you’ll know exactly what to do if special care is required.
Mail-order nurseries often ship smaller plants than you would find at a local retail nursery. This allows for the least expensive shipping prices. However, because the plant is small when it arrives, many gardeners opt to keep the plant in a container to let it grow bigger before planting it in the ground. If you choose to do this, make sure the pot you choose has room for the roots to stretch out and grow. Use a quality potting soil, apply a balanced fertilizer and water regularly. We want your plants to have every advantage to grow well.
