Nursery contributed plant descriptions

This fabulous specimen keeps its attention-grabbing blue-green-splashed-with-white foliage all the way to the ground, this broadly pyramidal shrub makes a very special specimen or hedge, it is particularly beautiful in the winter when there isn't much happening in the garden; appreciates afternoon shade to prevent sunburn, slow-growing to 25'. S/M
As above but Variegated which can add dramatic color especially to the winter landscape. The flattened sprays of foliage are marked with creamy white blotches. Prefers part shade in all but the coolest zones. A very 'narrow' planting zone 6-7, with protection in zone 5, ditto Zone 8 with afternoon shade. Occasionally spelled T. dolobrata.

This has the same unusual foliage shape as the species but is a strong growing shrub with scattered patches of creamy-white to yellow foliage intermixed with a rich dark green.
