Nursery contributed plant descriptions

?Most beautiful?, this uncommon prostrate form of the not common Korean Thuja has feathery blue-gray foliage (more open than T. plicata) with the distinctive scent of almonds. S/M
A rare low growing glaucous form of Korean Thuja, one of only a handful of cultivars of this seldom offered species.
Prostrate Korean Arborvitae is rarely available in the nursery trade, perhaps because it is slow growing compared to other forms, but is an attractive low ground covering conifer that grows equally well in sun or part shade. It has distinctive foliage: the upper side of the leaf is an attractive gray green, but the undersides reveal a silvery blue cast. Plants stay under 2' tall and grow to 3-4' wide. Shipping trade gallon pots..
This plant is easy to grow, takes sun to shade, and requires no pruning. That should be good enough. But the foliage is so beautiful- gray blue above with silver undersides- that I would do almost anything to have one in my garden. You should, too!
