Nursery contributed plant descriptions

A selected giant form of rice paper plant. HUGE 3'+ leaves on stems to 15'. Can you say 'statement'? Related to Fatsia japonica, but with larger leaves -- much larger -- very felted, and less cut. Best in sun to part shade with protection from wind. Rich soil and regular summer water to establish. Can be deciduous if temperatures drop below 15 °F but re-sprouts easily. Root hardy to 10 °F, bottom of USDA zone 8.
A must for the tropicalissimo look with its huge leaves. Spreads by underground to form a colony. The indumentum on the leaves makes some sneeze.
Very large growing Araliaceae.
Huge palmate leaves to 3' wide, stems to 10'. Hardy tropical looking plant.
