This recent Russian introduction is also known as 'Hope'. It has large panicles of very fragrant, double, blue-lilac, flowers from purple buds. Flowers are very long lasting and are born profusely on this mid-sized lilac. 'Nadezhda' shows good disease resistance and hardiness.
