    Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Purple Devil is a great name for this plant. This was the most commented upon plant here last summer when at 6' tall and covered in ferociously gorgeous 1" purple black spines with bold leaves suffused with purple. The small yellow flowers and 1" orange fruit are incidental. Annual.
