This gorgeous, fast-growing, robust & long-lived Salvia will thrill you with its showy & profuse bloom from Fall thru Winter. Bright fuchsia-colored, fuzzy, tabular flowers are held in dense whorled clusters 6” long on many-branching stems. Salvia iodantha is tall, from 6-10’ & up to 6’ across, with many stems arising from the base. The lovely, rich, mistletoe green foliage is held densely up to the flower clusters. If not cut back regularly, this Salvia will lean with the weight of its blooms & so is best placed against a fence or wall. Cut back severely after bloom for more compact growth. Loved by hummers! Grow in rich soil with at least a once a week watering. Hardy to 20 °F?
