Ornamental grass, sometimes called 'hardy pampas grass' will form into a large, upright clump. Gray green leaf blades have a thin white stripe down the middle of each blade. Fall brings an orange color to the leaves. Large inflorescence of flowers appears in late summer, originally pinkish silver, then turning reddish in the fall. Flowers can remain attractive in winter and can be used cut or dried. Cut to the ground in late winter to early spring. Native to Northern Africa and the Mediterranean region.
