Pyrrosia hastata is a slow-growing evergreen fern with green foliage. Grows well with mostly shade - shade and even moisture - regular water. Drought tolerant once established. Does well in rich and well-drained soil. A good option if you're seeking something heat tolerant and verticillium wilt resistant.

Cascading mound of thick, felty green fronds have three palmate lobes with coppery brown undersides. Plant in partial sun to light shade in well drained soil, does well on sloping ground or in a display pot. Zones 8 to 10. Size: 8” to 18”. Evergreen.

An evergreen fern, quite rare in cultivation as it spreads very slowly, but attractive with thick, three lobed leaves, up to 16" long x 6-8" wide, green above and stippled with coppery felt below, on black stems to 6-12” tall and slowly expanding into larger clumps. Found clinging to rocks and tree trunks in China, Japan, and Korea, these are best in part shade to shade in well-drained, even rocky soil with summer water. Frost hardy in USDA zone 8 and into zone 7 with winter protection. Also does well in pots and as an indoor plant.
