One of my favorite poppies (I’m Greek) is this very easy & free flowering species in the rhoeas/ dubium group. Stunning, deep scarlet, 2” flowers with black spots are borne on long stems - lots at a time. Seed was brought from Greece. To 18” X 18”. Combine it with Nemophila menziesii “Baby Blue Eyes” or Limnanthes douglasii “Meadow Foam” for wondrous effect! Poppy Fans - As cool season growers, Papavers should be planted only when extreme heat or extreme cold is not anticipated!
