    Musa 'Siam Ruby' is a broadleaf semi-evergreen perennial tree with chocolate, green and red foliage. In summer flowers emerge followed by yellow fruit. Grows well with sun - mostly shade and even moisture - high water. Does well in rich and well-drained soil. A good option if you're seeking something heat tolerant, humidity tolerant and verticillium wilt resistant.

    Mature tree Grows to 8' tall. Siam Ruby originated in Papua New Guinea, where bananas have been cultivated for 10,000 years, as a sport on M. 'Tapo'. I have never seen it taller than 8' The leaves are a stunning, dark ruby red banana leaves with tiny green flecks...the more sun, the more intense the color. This is one banana that loves intense heat and humidity...dazzling, stunning...can you tell I've lost my adjectiveness over this plant? Great disease resistance Zones 9 and up great wind resistant.

    Ok, this is an unbelievable banana! The leaves are dark red with small green flecks and the pseudostem is burgundy red as well. It grows to 10' and craves heat and humid conditions. Zone 9.
