A shade loving perennial impatiens (hardy through z 6B, and perhaps colder with a good mulch) It has distinctive velvety dark green leaves with a white central vein arranged in whorls. It grows to about 10-15" tall and spreads by stolons. Small pale yellow flowers appear in late summer and early fall.
Perennial Impatiens. Apricot yellow pouchy flowers in late summer enliven the already vibrant foliage of this hardy Chinese species. A good spreader so give it some room. Judith McLoughlin in Victoria combines this beautifully with Filipendula ulmaria 'Aurea'.
One of the early forerunners of the hardy impatiens movement this 16" tall spreading perennial has white veined green leaves and yellow flowers.
