Upright 3-4'(it gets its ht from its D. goldiana parent) glossy, deep-green fronds define this handsome fertile hybrid which is partial to the moist acid soils of swamps and rotting logs. PSh-Sh/M-Damp/Acid
Dryopteris x celsa, or log fern, is a naturally occuring hybrid of D. goldiana and D. ludoviciana which is commonly found growing on rotting logs. Its vertical 3 to 4 foot evergreen to semi-evergreen fronds are a lustrous green against its dark central stipe (stem).
Upright, dark green lance shaped fern that is great in a woodland setting. Plant in afternoon to full shade in well drained, moist soil. Zones 5 to 9. Height: 3 to 4 1/2 feet. Semi-Evergreen.
