A chance discovery found at Briggs Nursery. This eye-catching Daphne has variegated creamy yellow and green leaves and early spring pink flowers. The fragrance is delicious and can perfume an entire space. Best sighted out of the hottest sun. Some summer water. Deciduous. Grows 3.5ft x 3.5ft. Hardy to USDA zone 7
Wow! This hard to find variegated Daphne is a stunning plant with creamy evergreen leaves edged in green and sporting pale pink fragrant flowers in spring or early summer. Choice and very popular at the nursery! Slow growing but worth it for those moments when the light is behind the foliage and the plant is lit up like gold. Rich, well-drained soil in sun. Do not move after planting.
An out-of-this-world small shrub with cream colored leaves edged green. Very fragrant flowers when mature. Grows best in a well drained soil. Our experience has been that they do much better planted in the ground rather than growing in a pot for too long.
This extraordinary NEW 4' cultivar from Briggs N. literally shines!... its creamy-yellow leaves outlined by deep green are showy even from afar ; its fragrant early spring flowers are heavenly!; variegation is stable. Sun-PSh/Med/GdDrain
Variegated small shrub--absolutely the most darling!
Creamy yellow leaves trimmed with dark green on the outer edges. It has exceptional foliage, and in spring, bears terminal clusters of fragrant white to pink flowers. It is a hardy 4 x 4' shrub. Definitely protect from hot afternoon sun. One grower here prunes it fairly heavily each year to encourage multiple new growth stems from the base.
