Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Granny?s ringlets? describes the thick incurved foliage twisted spirally round the branches of this low bush; excellent bonsai subject or unusual low conifer shrub. S/M
Spiralis has been around for a long time, since the early 19th century. Prized for its curled foliage and stately, pluming upright habit, this plant has been colloquially named "granny's ringlets."
(Granny’s ringlets) This conifer has dark green small curled needles. The needles curve around the stem making an interesting look. Don’t know ultimate size (8’-10’?) But, C. spiralis makes an excellent container plant.
One of the most visually unique conifers with needles curling in spirals around the branches.
Soft green leaves spiral around the stems, eventually forms small dense tree. USDA Zones 5-9
This remarkable cultivar from Japan forms a very dense slow growing bush. The foliage is yellowish-green, spirally twisted around the stems, the amount of twisting varying with the seasons. It makes an excellent specimen plant but also blends in well with other conifers.
