Hearts of Gold Redbud has gold foliage that is burn resistant even in full sun. Beautiful pink/purple blooms cover the tree in spring before the foliage emerges . Grows rapidly in a wide range of soil types and moisture levels. Tolerant of light shade, it is very adaptable and easy to grow. The graceful branching of Hearts of Gold Redbud provides winter interest. The tight compact form makes it a perfect choice for smaller gardens.
Hearts of Gold' is the first of several new yellow-leafed redbuds. Its neon-yellow foliage is an immediate contrast in any landscape. Does not burn in summer.
The first golden leaved redbud. Lavender pink blossoms adorn bare branches in early spring followed by emerging foliage that turns a golden hue. Golden color remains all summer on plants that get at least half day sun. 24-30" plants for spring shipping. Ultimately a 20-25' tree.
