Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Artemisia 'Sea Foam' is an awesome silvery textural plant for hot, sunny locations and as a small scale groundcover creating a frothy effect in rock gardens, dry gardens, and at the front of the border. It has finely dissected, curling, filigreed, white-silver, evergreen foliage on woody stems forming short, mounding plants. Occasional spikes of yellowish flowers rise on short spikes. They can be left to bloom or trimmed off to maintain a tidier appearance. Trim plants to six inches early spring to maintain a bushy habit.
Brimming with texture, 'Sea Foam' hosts a frothy display of incandescent silver-gray foliage. Swirling, curly, filigreed leaves are draped like finely cut lace along vigorous firm woody stems. Not intrusive and tight-set, this low mounding shrubby perennial can take it hot but not humid, needs well drained soil, makes a good winter statement and occasionally yields cute, little yellow buttons on downy white flower spikes.
Vigorous, attractive groundcover with lacy, mounding foliage of silvery blue. Good winter presence. Clump forming and non-invasive. Perennial. Xeriscape. Garden loam, clay or sandy soil. USDA zones 4b-8 (up to 7,000').
