Aloe zebrina is an evergreen cactus / succulent with green, variegated and white foliage. In summer apricot and orange flowers emerge. Attracts beneficial insects and hummingbirds. Grows well with sun - mostly sun and regular - low water. Drought tolerant once established. Prefers to be dry in summer, dry in winter. Does well in gritty, lean, rocky and well-drained soil. A good option if you're seeking something heat tolerant and verticillium wilt resistant.

Gorgeous Aloe from South Africa which will make it outside in a mild winter here if perfectly sited. Our neighbor on Hastings grew this against his south facing concrete block wall for several winters to our neverending envy. Best brought in though. Soft peach-orange tubular flower clusters.
