Agave 'Cornelius' is a slow-growing evergreen cactus / succulent with blue, gold, green and variegated foliage. Features glaucous texture. Grows well with sun and occasional - low water. Drought tolerant once established. Prefers to be dry in winter, dry when dormant. Does well in gritty, lean, rocky and well-drained soil. A good option if you're seeking something heat tolerant and verticillium wilt resistant.

The spectacular wide yellow margins of 'Cornelius' gives this agave its "wow" factor. This plant forms a 1.5 foot tall by 2.5 foot wide clump of thick wavy blue-green leaves margined by a two inch wide yellow edge at maturity. For full sun in well-drained soils in zones 9 and 10, or for use as a specimen plant in containers.
Full Sun to Light Shade. Outdoor. Has not yet bloomed in cultivation.

Miniature form of the monstrous Century Plant, forming rosettes to under 2', each leaf centered green with pleasing cream to gold leaf margins. In stunted form gives whole plant the appearance of a star. Frost hardy to upper USDA zone 8 or a bit colder if dry and under an the eaves or another protected spot in winter. Either way a fabulous pot plant. Full sun.
'Cornelius' is a tender rosette of thick, waving, lance-like leaves with spectacular wide yellow margins. Choice container plant! Imagine it in a reddish-brown, black, or blue glazed pot. And give it some space not only to let it show off, but to keep your guests from getting pricked. They'll be plenty excited about it already. 2' x 2'
There is some debate regarding the correct name for this plant...but - whatever! - it's fantastic. One of our favorites. A beautiful monstrose form. One of the best.
