Info

These, from the mountains of Tamaulipas, are almost undoubtably a stable hybrid between A. montana or possibly A. gentryi - both high mountain dwellers - and A. scabra as it sneaks up toward the passes. Light-blue leaves, deeply dentate, form rosettes to 3ft. Tolerates moderate shade if well drained, otherwise full sun. Frost hardy to 15F, mid USDA zone 8, possibly below 10F if kept dry in winter.
