Nursery contributed plant descriptions

The eye-catching, light green rosette actually looks like a mint-colored saucer! The densely held succulent leaves of this aeonium grow on a short stem. It makes an attractive container plant for deck or patio plantings in northern zones or it can be grown in gardens in zones 9b-11. Mint Saucer Aeonium also makes an unusual indoor plant adding color and appeal to any succulent collection.
This beautiful & rare evergreen succulent is native to the Canary Islands - home of weird & wonderful plants like “Tower of Jewels.” Like a dinner plate, it makes a round, flat, ground hugging, rosette, only 2” tall x 18” in diameter. These plants are seed grown & there are other fun forms in the mix – most make a flat saucer, but some are multi-headed, some more cupped. Sometimes, the form will be crested in the center, making it look like a big green turtle! The rounded, soft-green, leaves are densely held in a swirling pattern. A fab focal point in a succulent garden or planted in a rock wall. Or plant it in a pretty container. Thrives indoors as a houseplant too! “Dinner Plate Aeonium” blooms in late Spring with yellow flowers & lives about 3 years. Soil should have good drainage (not clay). Hardy only to 30 °F, so protect or bring indoors in Winter.
