This is a fantastic, narrow, upright form of a male clone selected from Fairmont Park in Philadelphia. Pretty fan-shaped leaves turn from emerald-green in summer to a lovely golden-yellow in fall. As it only grows to 30-50' high and only 15-20' wide it makes an attractive choice for a narrow site. Male trees are generally preferred as they do not produce the messy fruit. S/M
A fast growing columnar clone, the original was planted in Fairmont Park in Philadelphia in 1876 making it one of the oldest specimens in the United States
Fairmont is sort of the standard Ginkgo in my book. It has regular branching, medium size and wonderful fall color. Zone 4.
A huge richly golden exclamation mark in the fall landscape. This upright, narrow, male clone, selected in a Philadelphia park, tucks nicely into a small garden footprint. Full sun and normal water. Reaches 25-40 ft tall x 10 ft wide, but slowly. Frost hardy in USDA zone 4.
