This perennial Salvia is quite cold hardy and comes from SW Spain. Loves the full sun and a well-drained fertile soil with the odd deep watering. Nice rosettes of big leaves are the launching pad for the 5' spike of blue flowers which sport a lower white lip.
From Spain & North Africa comes this little known, striking Salvia. Forming basal rosettes of bluish-green foliage, it then sends up stalks 3’ to 5’ tall & wide bearing large & showy, lavender-blue flowers, Summer thru Fall. Long blooming & long lived, it tolerates part shade & is hardy to 10 degrees. Attracts hummingbirds.
