My FAVORITE Aster! This 'Heath Aster' has horizontal stems, only 4" tall and spreading across the ground to about 2' eventually. The Sept Oct bloom is INCREDIBLE when the bright white tiny flowers blanket the plants – everyone stops to admire them! Easy i
This little Aster lays quiet all summer, and then in September, it surprises with sprays of fresh starry white flowers which accent other plants in the garden. This very useful native is drought tolerant and attractive to butterflies and bees. It tends to spread, so use in spots you'd like it to naturalize.
Myriads of tiny white flowers burst into a blizzard of bloom in late summer. Their woody stems creep along the ground from the central crown to form a fine, feathery mound that is dense enough to suppress weeds. Effective in the rockery or as a ground cover in sharply draining soil. When flowers turn brown they can simply be brushed off. 3" tall by 3 ft wide - count on it. Minimum temperature: -40°F
