{"id":8616,"date":"2015-12-13T10:22:52","date_gmt":"2015-12-13T18:22:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogadmin.plantlust.com\/blog\/?p=8616"},"modified":"2024-01-24T07:28:19","modified_gmt":"2024-01-24T15:28:19","slug":"ima-fair-weather-gardener-part-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/plantlust.com\/blog\/gardens\/ima-fair-weather-gardener-part-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Ima: fair weather gardener &#8211; part 2"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Last week I meant to get around to the topic of plants that are still looking good in there garden.\u00a0Of course, if you avoid going outside\u00a0because of pesky record rainfall, <a title=\"Battleground WA tornado F1\" href=\"https:\/\/katu.com\/news\/local\/reports-of-tornado-spotted-in-battle-ground-weather-officials-say\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">tornadoes<\/a> and stuff, you&#8217;d never know. We&#8217;ve had day after day of 2-3 inch rain, followed by more of the same. And a tornado in Battle Ground WA, twenty miles north of where we live. Unusual for these parts, but not unheard of.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Because of the\u00a0abysmally wet and windy conditions, I&#8217;ve been disinclined to put in\u00a0my daily\u00a02 to 3 mile trek. I mentioned last week, sometimes I can get her to forego the walk if we go out front in the cul de sac and she has the opportunity to do a sniff around. Happy day!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>I got a new iPhone a couple weeks ago, and for the first time ever, I scooped my brilliant kids with my, hmmm, version&#8211;is it called, or model. Hells bells. What I&#8217;m trying to say, is mine is newer than theirs. I just read that in a fancy new-method\u00a0of gardening book, like it&#8217;s a spankin&#8217;\u00a0new idea. (No, I can&#8217;t remember which one. I find this a bit confusing. Sometimes the Google answers my questions, however,\u00a0there&#8217;s too damn\u00a0much clock-building talk on the tech support page. I JUST NEED TO KNOW THE TIME. He&#8217;s a pro, what can I say? Little steps, I&#8217;m thinking.
