I know\u00a0they’re\u00a0numbered, but in these last decent days of fall, there are some fine looking plants in the\u00a0garden.<\/p>\n

The shaded brick planter on the north side of our house has exceeded all\u00a0expectations. It’s under the eaves, and needs to be watered year round, but I’m up to the challenge with stellar\u00a0performers like these.<\/p>\n

This\u00a0happy Annemieke x\u00a0Fatshedera\u00a0is performing under the reprieved apple tree<\/a>\u00a0in the back shade garden.<\/p>\n

Look, real olives on that tree.\u00a0After minimal study, I’ve determined they’re purely decorative.<\/p>\n

This lovely Rosemary is creeping toward the rock wall, soon to head over the cliff–just what I was hoping for.<\/p>\n

I guess I planned this combination\u00a0in the Sea of Juniper garden, but I’m still surprised by the fabulous results.<\/p>\n

Hope I never rue the day I planted several Tertrapanax. They’re looking healthy, the lot of ’em.<\/p>\n

I’m off for the annual\u00a0Book Babes weekend. We’re going\u00a0the McKenzie River this year. I swear, it seems like just yesterday we were at our\u00a0beach retreat<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The years go clipping by at such a quick rate these days. When Megan<\/a> was about 8, she told me that the years really do go faster, the older one gets; with each passing year, it’s a smaller percentage of your life. Thank you, Rose.<\/p>\n
