Instead of fighting the loss of summer I am celebrating the beauty of autumn. I know that comes naturally to many of you, and I&#8217;ll admit I&#8217;m a touch jealous. I want to be the person who is happy in the moment. Not looking back, or rushing into the future, but living in the now. So in addition to buying a new pair of boots and a couple fabulous sweaters (oh and scarves, we must have scarves) I&#8217;m finding new ways to enjoy my garden. Can&#8217;t spend the afternoons working in the garden? Then I&#8217;ll find a way to bring some of those plants into the house.\u00a0<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve always loved these wild twig wreaths, they look like if you spin them fast enough they&#8217;ll\u00a0whirl right up in to the sky. I finally splurged on one and decided to gussy it up a bit with things from the garden.<a href=\"https:\/\/d17vsf20mehj1i.cloudfront.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/01145655\/wreath-100.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-7876\" src=\"https:\/\/d17vsf20mehj1i.cloudfront.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/01145655\/wreath-100.jpg\" alt=\"wreath 100\" width=\"994\" height=\"1024\" srcset=\"https:\/\/d17vsf20mehj1i.cloudfront.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/01145655\/wreath-100.jpg 994w, https:\/\/d17vsf20mehj1i.cloudfront.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/01145655\/wreath-100-291x300.jpg 291w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 994px) 100vw, 994px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Well, not everything came from the garden. Obviously I don&#8217;t want that to happen indoors where Lila (our dog) might be tempted to taste one (the door is open most days, so she can keep an eye on the neighborhood and I can enjoy the wreath inside).<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/d17vsf20mehj1i.cloudfront.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/01145647\/wreath-108.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-7884\" src=\"https:\/\/d17vsf20mehj1i.cloudfront.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/01145647\/wreath-108.jpg\" alt=\"wreath 108\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" srcset=\"https:\/\/d17vsf20mehj1i.cloudfront.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/01145647\/wreath-108.jpg 768w, https:\/\/d17vsf20mehj1i.cloudfront.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/01145647\/wreath-108-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s been up for a few weeks now and everything still looks fresh, but I&#8217;m already scheming on the next \u00a0adaptation &#8211; maybe one with more traditional autumn colors, or <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thedangergarden.com\/2015\/10\/the-ornamental-cabbage-and-kale.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ornamental cabbage and kale<\/a>.
