Plenty of garden goodness out there still, at least around the Pacific Northwest. Here are a few shots from my Concordia Neighborhood walkabouts.<\/p>\n

Yucca rostrata<\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

There are a couple Yucca rostratas in my garden, but these are is in a neighbors’ front yard. Form, texture, hardiness: it has it all.<\/p>\n

Clerodendrum trichotomum<\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Forever tempted by Clerodendron, but so far, it’s a no go. Glad I can always enjoy neighborhood trees.<\/p>\n

Fatsia japonica ‘Murakumo Nishiki’<\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

This Fatsia aka Japanese Aralia is in my garden, one of several. Love those big leaves. Hardy and gorgeous year round. Usually.<\/p>\n

Cones on Wee Tree – No i.d. Maybe someone knows?<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

I’d love to add more conifers<\/a> to my garden, but every time I fall in love, I discover that my heartthrob gets at least a thousand feet tall.<\/p>\n

Tetrapanax papyrifer ‘Steroidal Giant’<\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Tetrapanax start from my garden. This plant is about 2′ tall, thus the top-down view. Surprising color, no? Frisky plant, but I still love it.<\/p>\n

Eucalyptus pauciflora ssp. niphophila<\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The Alpine Snow Gum\u00a0 —\u00a0 so beautiful. And gigantic. Appreciate neighbors taking the plunge.<\/p>\n

So that’s the quick report from my northeast Portland OR neighborhood. Wishing you joy, good health, and plants that fulfill your wildest dreams.<\/p>\n
