Choice evergreen vine with handsome, variegated leaves, shiny green, irregularly edged in creamy white -- sometimes entirely white. This magnolia relative, found in China, Japan, and Korea, eventually reaches 15' tall and 10' wide, twining on pergolas, sculptures, fences, or anything handy. Spring flowers, also creamy white, are cup-shaped and add to the show, as do the fall clusters of red berries. Brightens any shady spot that has rich soil and receives ample summer moisture. Frost hardy in USDA zone 7.
