Info

This native relative of the Hollyhock boasts huge pink flowers up to half a foot in diameter. Rose Mallow (Hibiscus palustris) is a real show off, prefering a rich, moist soil, but does beautifully in fertile garden soil. Native to wetlands from the east coast to Ohio and Indiana, it is fully hardy to Zones 4 - 9. Also called Swamp Rose Mallow.
