Vining shrub seldom exceeding 4-6 ft in height, that clamors through deciduous shrubs & against walls. This cultivar, found in Ruth Bancroft's garden, has the same mitten-shaped leaves, to 3-4", but more gracefully lobed. Teeny, 1 cm figs. For sun to shade, damp or drought though average summer water is best. Essentially evergreen, but deciduous below 15 to 18°F, mid USDA zone 8, and freeze-back at 10 to 15°F. Resprouts from upper USDA zone 7.
