This is a southern highbush cultivar, which means it has a low chilling requirement for fruit set. It's also self-fertile and very compact. Flowers are pink (instead of the usual white), and the small to medium-size, midseason fruit are dark blue. Evergreen where winters are mild. Tolerant of relatively high soil pH.

Mid season. Great for almost any condition and it's evergreen and self-fertile! This slower growing, semi-dwarf (to 3') blueberry has a heavily branched yet compact habit. Pretty pink flowers fade to white in the spring, and yield an abundant supply of delicious, tangy sweet blueberries. A beautiful shrub for the border or planted in mass on the hillside.

This blueberry has small, rich blue foliage all summer. The plant only gets 3-4 feet tall. Will grow in full sun or semi-shade. We were perhaps the first retail mail order offering V. 'Sunshine Blue' in the U.S. These plants are of medium size, sweet tasting blueberries. The fruit is produced over an extended period in late July-August.
