This extraordinarily hardy plant grows best in fairly cold areas. The best plants we have seen are in the northeast U.S. The white flowers have painted tepals and are 4-5” across. Don’t try in California. We saw this creeping vine at Strybing Arboretum and it was a plant of M. kobus.
