Beautifully variegated, diminutive form, with rosettes spreading to no more than 2-3', the beautifully curved leaves colored a dusty blue-green with a wide creamy stripe in the center. Slowly offsetting in bright light and well-drained soil with occasional summer water. As luck would have it, this is one of the forms hardier to frost with plants surviving 10 to 15 °F, USDA zone 8, in soil that is dry in winter. Pull in or cover below 20 °F or so in areas of winter wet.

This beautiful variegated form has bluish green leaves with a creamy white centre. Perfect for creating pots of high visual impact on your patio or balcony. Underplant with Echeveria for a sophisticated touch. Reportedly hardy to minus nine Celsius, larger plants will likely be fairly hardy if kept dry and given some protection from cold. Smaller plants make a distinctive and no nonsense houseplant over the winter in a sunny window. Available in small quantities and not every year.

Agave Mediopicta Alba: Agave americana variety Medio Picta Alba is a beautiful white variegated form of regular americana. Variegation runs down the center of the leaves and is really white not creamy. Plants grow to about 3' to 4' in diameter. Medio Picta Alba does not flower and die possibly due to the variegation in the center inhibiting the inflorescence
