Info

'Jannoch Red' produces large raspberry red 2" blooms in large clusters that may cover the entire plant during its peak summer. This is a vigorous and particularly hardy oleander selection that stays closer to 6' high in the northern portions of its range but may reach 15' or more in mild winter climates. Use Jannoch as a low maintenance hedge or screen or train it into a small evergreen tree. Oleanders are extremely durable and reliable evergreen shrubs for mild winter climates and are especially well adapted to the mild coastal regions of the US. Salt tolerant, drought resistant, deer resistant, and adaptable to a variety of soil types although they do appreciate good drainage and seem to prefer a mineral soil over humus based soils. Oleanders also make excellent container specimens that are easily overwintered indoors in cooler climates.
